For over 40 years, Livingstone International has supported Australian businesses, healthcare providers, educators, and institutions with reliable access to quality consumables. Our long-term success is built on strong partnerships, responsible operations, and a clear commitment to doing business the right way.

Our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) framework guides how we operate today and how we plan for the future. It reflects our responsibility to our people, our customers, our communities, and the environment, ensuring sustainable growth while maintaining the highest standards of integrity, safety, and quality.

Livingstone’s ESG approach is aligned to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and is underpinned by six key pillars that shape our decisions and actions across the business.

Livingstone follows six pillars that reinforce our commitment based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG)

Environmental Initiatives

We recognise the responsibility we hold in reducing our environmental impact and supporting a more sustainable future. Livingstone actively integrates environmental initiatives across our offices, warehouses, and supply chain to minimise waste, improve efficiency, and reduce emissions.

Our environmental management practices are certified to ISO 14001, the internationally recognised standard for effective environmental management systems, ensuring continuous monitoring, accountability, and improvement across our operations.

We work closely with suppliers and partners to expand access to environmentally responsible products, providing sustainable alternatives for everyday use. Our focus is on making greener choices practical, accessible, and scalable for our customers.

Climate Change & Emissions Reduction

Livingstone is committed to reducing its carbon footprint across all areas of the business, from warehousing and logistics to procurement and supplier engagement.

Key initiatives include:

To further reduce our reliance on grid energy, Livingstone has installed 100 kW rooftop solar systems at both our Turella and Victorian warehouses, enabling the generation of renewable energy onsite and significantly lowering operational emissions. These systems support day-to-day warehouse operations by offsetting electricity consumption during peak usage periods, improving energy efficiency while reducing our environmental footprint.

Building on this progress, two additional warehouses are scheduled for solar installation later this year as part of our broader renewable energy strategy. This staged rollout reflects a long-term investment in sustainable infrastructure, supporting reduced emissions intensity across our national distribution network. By increasing onsite renewable energy generation, Livingstone continues to strengthen energy resilience, reduce reliance on fossil fuels, and move closer to achieving our carbon neutrality target by 2027.

Livingstone has also invested in a Carbon Neutral Sustainability Program, with a target to achieve carbon neutrality by the end of 2027. This initiative supports emissions measurement, reduction strategies, and verified offset programs as part of our broader climate responsibility.

Commitment to Sustainability

Sustainability is embedded across Livingstone’s operations and supply chain. Our approach focuses on reducing environmental impact while improving operational efficiency and supporting a more circular economy.
